Post-doctoral Position – Ion Channel Biology
A postdoctoral position to study ion channel biology in the laboratory of Dr. Roger Bannister (Cardiology Division, University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine) will be available in summer/autumn 2012.
The Bannister laboratory utilizes genetically engineered mouse models to study the mechanisms by which altered Ca2+ and Na+ channel activity contribute to degenerative neuromuscular disease.
Minimum qualifications are an M.D. and/or a Ph.D. in Physiology or a related discipline. Applicants are expected to be highly motivated and committed to a career in the sciences. Previous experience with patch-clamp techniques, protein biochemistry and/or molecular cloning is desired; fluency in English is required.
