Endowed Professorship in Interdisciplinary Physics
The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for the Williams Endowed Professorship in Interdisciplinary Physics, to begin in August 2011, with special emphasis on the life sciences.
Requirements include a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field, a current tenured position at the rank of Associate Professor or higher, and a distinguished record of teaching and research. Preference will be given to candidates who can establish connections with another department in the sciences, math, or engineering, contribute to degree programs in Physics and another department, and who will establish a research program in the general area of life sciences that includes participation by students. Candidates in experimental, theoretical, or computational research are all encouraged to apply.
